BarCamp Madagascar
BarCamp Madagascar will be the first BarCamp event in Madagascar. The full-day event is free of charge for all participants and will include presentations, lightning talks, and meetups on various topics of interest to the Malagasy technology community. Coffee, lunch, and a commemorative T-shirt are included with your $0 entrance fee (thanks to our sponsors!).
This is a collectively-owned community event. Every attendee is expected to participate in some way, however small, and help make it happen. BarCamp Madagascar can be the tech event you always dreamt of, if you make it that way!

Help wanted
We are actively seeking volunteers to help with outstanding work for BarCamp Madagascar. Please, lend us a hand as volunteers.
There are a few things that everyone can do to help out:
- Blog about BarCamp Madagascar. Please, if you're at all interested, link to this webiste on your blog. If you've been to other BarCamps, say why you liked it and what you're looking forward to. If you haven't, tell people what you hope BarCamp Madagascar will be.
- Add links to your social bookmarking application. If you use a social bookmarking tool (digg.com, del.icio.us, or whatever) add a link there!
- Invite people from work. If you think anyone at your work might be interested in BarCamp, please send a discreet invitation to whoever might want to attend. You could even send it to “all employees” if you work at a technology-related company. (See BarCamp Madagascar Invitations for places that we think invitations should be sent.)
- Invite people from school. If you're a student or on staff at a university, ask other students or staff to come. Send a broadcast invitation if you're in a technical department or student group. (See BarCamp Madagascar Invitations for places that we think invitations should be sent.)
- Invite people from clubs, users groups, or other organizations. Are you part of a club, users group, or other organization that emphasizes technology, creativity, or do-it-yourself attitude? Then please feel free to invite the members to BCM3. They'll like it, and you'll feel smart. (See BarCamp Madagascar Invitations for places that we think invitations should be sent.)
- Invite your friends. You know bunches of people who would enjoy this event and who have something to contribute. Please, pass the information to them, or invite them to come with you.
Don't wait for “the organizers” to send out invites to the people you want to talk to at BarCamp Madagascar. YOU are the organizer for the event you want to be part of! Make sure the people you want to talk to, and hear from, are there on Saturday!
